  • S n' L Rockers
S n' L Rockers,  Slash and Axl, the architects of Destruction. Is a painting that I started
organically over 20 years ago. Brush on canvas. Never knew how to finish it. So I abandoned it.
Fast forward to 2018. I had the Awesome opportunity to meet one of my all time favorite guitar
players Slash, when my son Hunter was the bass guitar player in London Hudson's band.
Slash is one cool, authentic dude, and it really means a lot to me, when he complimented my art.
The original artwork is long gone, all I had was an old photo of it,scanned it. And I was able to
finish it digitally. So here it is, my first digital painting of Iconic Rockers Slash and Axl.
Thank you Slash for inspiring me to finish it.

David Bowie considered himself an "actor", much more so than a musician. In my painting Davey Robert Jones, his given name, sits somewhere in a Gallery of the Heavens. He is surrounded by some images of the characters that he created here while on Earth. They include Aladdin Sane, The Thin White Duke, David in Kabuki make-up from the 80's, and Mture David of the 90's.

    He was the, "STARMAN".

  • Elvis
Elvis was the,"KING!" of Vegas. and he luved his Co-stars and his Cadillac's. He was a colorful and charismatic character, the first real Rock Star!. This work of art had to reflect that.
"A little less conversation, a little more action", was the tune that was rattling in my head while I did this painting.

  • To be a Rock and not to Roll
You've got to be in the right kind of mood to listen to Zeppelin, and I needed to be in the right kind of mood to capture this hedonistic moment on canvas. Bonzo’s bombastic beat is driving the competition between the thundering guitar riffs and the wailing vocals and leaving No Quarter!

  • Billiards with the Devil

This Rolling Stone is in Purgatory, if he loses his game of pool against the devil, then he will join the rest of his blues idols in hell. The man behind the bar is Howling Wolf, the guitar legend is John Lee Hooker and the ghost of Robert Johnson is lurking behind Keith. The woman on the barstool is a "Lady of the Night". You will see all kinds of artifacts which are little clues and little Sins on the shelves behind the bar. But who is really the bigger devil Keith or Satan himself?

  • Van Halen... Unchained!

The first time I heard Eddie Van Halen's lickety-split guitar licks, Diamond Dave's Screams and howls to a round-house kick, that was the rock n roll band for me. No one typifies the roarin', colorful, party hardy 80's better!

The first time i heard the song “A Day In The Life”, I was too young to understand it, but it left a great impression on me.

The surreal sounds of the 60’s began with the music of the Fab Four from Abbey Road studios.

Is my homage to the "Boss", and my favorite era of his music, the Born to Run, Darkness at the Edge of Town LPs.

The painting includes iconic imagery from his songs and the classic members of his E Street Band, hangin' out at Asbury Park. Sexy Rosalita stands in the foreground eyeing Bruce's 1957 Chevy convertible. Denny Federichi, Bruces's late keyboard player is behind the wheel of the 1974 Challenger, with the "Barfoot girl sitting on the hood of a Dodge", the lyric from the tune Jungleland brought to life .

The Centerpiece of the painting has the late ,great Saxophone player (The Big Man) Clarence Clemens and the Boss in an intense rockin moment.
